I swear I can still smell the air and feel the crisp fall weather going to school early in the morning when this song came out.
When I was old enough, I moved to California and it was much more than I ever dreamed it could be. What a wonderful time. Rent and cars were cheap and the requirement for getting a good job was to have a heartbeat. I had a perfect 1966 VW Bug and lived in a beautiful old Victorian house. Surfing, skiing, the wine country, incredible music and gorgeous single young women. College was five bucks per credit. Race wasn’t a factor at all. It seemed like everyone played a musical instrument and I met all kinds of celebrities just shopping, partying and going to the beach. I have no regrets and it was just dumb luck and timing.
I can’t afford to live in the city anymore, but I had my time and it was far out dude.
И они там, в комментах, все тоскуют по той Калифорнии, которой больше нет ( всё, застроили, изгадили, коммерциализировали и т.д.и т.п.) Тоскуют независимо от возраста.и места жительства. Всё как у нас. Надоть похоже присоединиться к общему хору
